Well, finally, after 5 years, I got to see Mr. Bungle.

And it didn't really live up to the hype I gave it.

They only played 6 songs that I remember, none off the old CD. Between every song, they would go off and play some improve shit that would last for 10-15 minutes. I just wanted to hear SONGS, not noise.

The second to last song was "Everyone I went to High School With", and it took 25 minutes to complete. There was a point where it was just noise for 15 strait minutes. I just couldn't get into it.

Of course I will go see them next time, and I will hope to hear songs!!!!!!

So I went to the Bungle show at Moe's Mo Rockin Cafe last night... Wow. They tore the place up. It was a great show. They played absolutely _nothing_ from the first album despite a few annoying heckler's in the crowd demanding they play some "music". Idiots.

During EIWTHSWID they kind of completely left the song and started improvising in a huge way. They went off for what seemed like forever and eventually came back to the song and finished it. It was exceptionally cool. Afterwards Trevor played a bass solo, which consisted of him kicking on the distortion and unstringing his bass. He played his acoustic bass the rest of the night.

Melt Banana was certainly interesting. I can't ever see purchasing one of their albums but they were rather entertaining to watch. I 'played' the guitarists guitar for a while during their last song. He kneeled down to where I was standing, handed me the slide, and motioned to start playing. So I did. Interesting.

I highly recommend seeing this show to everyone who likes the new album. For those of you who don't like the new album, do us all a favor and say home, you will hate this show.

Oh yeah, the t-shirt guy told me I was the coolest person he'd met on the tour because I refered to him as 'mein fuhrer'. I thought that was rather amusing.
